Terroristexperten samt även författaren Terry Turiche anser att det är kontraproduktivt att använda sig av omild och tortyrliknade behandling av fångar i kampen mot terrorism.
Han menar även att om man fortsätter på den inslagna vägen så visar det att man inte lärt något av historien.
Det långsiktiga sättet att bekämpa terrorism är genom att hålla fast vid sitt lands konstitution och grundlagar. Sekretess och försök att dölja oegentligheter är ett bränsle för fortsatt skräckvälde, menar Terry Turiche.
